Occasionally talk to or e-mail your friends in English. Many people find this a bit false or embarrassing, but if you think of it as a study and set a particular time and/or place, it is no different from studying maths together.
Read English language magazines, like books and newspapers. If you can read two versions of the same magazines, that could make understanding it much easier.
Watching English children films or TV programmes. Some of the basic English pronunciation can be learnt from these programmes. Not only the structure of the story is simplified but it also motivates you to watch the programmes. Like good language learning material, the same language is often repeated to make it memorable, and the use of catchy songs can increase this positive effect on your memory.
